GULFPORT, MS (March 6, 2024) – Applications are now open for nonprofits to apply for a $20,000.00 grant from the GivHer Circle Fund from Gulf Coast Community Foundation (GCCF). Nonprofits from Hancock, Harrison, Pearl River, Jackson, Stone, and George counties are eligible to apply.
Nonprofits can apply through April 4 for the inaugural GivHer Circle Grant. Priority will be given to organizations that focus on child welfare, education, and health. The grant will be awarded in May.
The GivHer Circle grant is made possible by GivHer Circle members, whose donations go toward the GivHer Circle Fund.
“Our ultimate goal is to have 100 women join the GivHer Circle annually, resulting in an annual award of five $20,000 grants to local nonprofits,” said Dr. Christen Duhé, GCCF president and executive director. “One individual can make a difference to an organization, but if we come together and give as one, we can make a significant impact. The GivHer Circle is all about collective giving.”
Tiffany D. Bell, GCCF director of Donor Relations, said, “Membership in the GivHer Circle allows us to achieve great things and make a lasting difference in South Mississippi. Plus, members connect with like-minded women, learn about the most pressing needs in our community, and make a real impact with other passionate and committed women.”
The GivHer Circle Grant application is available through April 4 at both mgccf.org and givhercircle.org, where individuals can also join the Circle.
