Knight Cities Challenge brings funding opportunity to Biloxi and Gulfport

Applications are now open for the Knight Cities Challenge, a $5 million initiative from the Knight Foundation inviting individuals and organizations to submit bold, creative ideas that can strengthen communities and create lasting local impact.

The Knight Cities Challenge is open to communities across Knight’s 26 eligible cities, including Biloxi and Gulfport. The program provides grants of up to $200,000 per project to support ideas that strengthen local news and information, expand economic opportunity, and cultivate connections through arts and culture.

“The Knight Foundation has supported a number of innovative projects across Biloxi and Gulfport, and we’re excited to see this next opportunity bring even more big ideas to life here on the Coast,” said Dr. Christen Duhé, president and executive director of Gulf Coast Community Foundation.

Applications are due by April 30. For more information and to apply, visit www.mygccf.com/tv-O. Questions may be directed to info@mgccf.org.
