Grant applications now open at Gulf Coast Community Foundation

GULFPORT, Miss. (August 3, 2026) – Gulf Coast Community Foundation is now accepting applications for multiple grant opportunities. Made possible through the generosity of GCCF donors, these grants support a wide range of community initiatives.

“One of my favorite things about this work is seeing the passion and creativity of the people serving our communities,” said Dr. Christen Duhé, GCCF president and executive director. “We’re grateful to the donors who make these grants possible, and we’re excited to help bring more great ideas to life.”

Applications are now open at www.mgccf.org/grant-opportunities for the following:

  • GivHer Circle Grant: Two $20,000 grants will be awarded. Nonprofits serving George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River or Stone counties are encouraged to apply. Priority consideration is given to projects focused on child welfare, education, and health. This grant is made possible by the GivHer Circle Fund. Deadline: August 17
  • Operation Round Up®: Up to $10,000 for charitable organizations serving Hancock, Harrison, and Pearl River counties. This grant is made possible by the Coast Electric Community Trust Fund. Deadline: August 31
  • Leo W. Seal Innovative Teacher Grants: Up to 10 grants of up to $2,000 each for certified K-12 teachers at public or private schools in Forrest, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Madison, and Pearl River counties. This grant is made possible by Hancock Whitney’s Leo W. Seal Innovative Teacher Awards Fund. Deadline: September 30
  • Anthony Dartez Fund: Up to $2,000 for organizations, schools, and educators serving individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities in George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, and Stone counties. Deadline: October 31
  • Mary & Gene Levens Excellence in Teaching Grant: Established through the Mary & Gene Levens Fund, this $1,000 classroom grant for teachers in the Long Beach School District and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School to support innovative educational projects and enhance student learning. Deadline: October 31
  • Pat Santucci Education Fund: Up to $2,000 for projects that support public education, educators, and individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities in George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River and Stone counties. Deadline: October 31
  • Jack A. & Gertrude W. Wilson Animal Welfare Fund: Up to $15,000 for nonprofit organizations in George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, and Stone counties that improve the welfare of animals through rescue, shelter, rehabilitation, adoption, education, and related programs. Deadline: October 31
