From the Desk of Rodger Wilder, C.E.O. of Gulf Coast Community Foundation – Aug 2022

Thank you for supporting the Gulf Coast Community Foundation (GCCF) as we serve the community needs of South Mississippi. Your unwavering human compassion and charitable giving have helped us provide timely public health, environmental, and education support to charitable organizations and causes in South Mississippi, including more than $1.3 Million in COVID relief monies to 34 food pantries and 56 nonprofit organizations in Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, George, Stone, and Pearl River counties over the past couple of years.

We know how trying the last few years have been, from the COVID pandemic to natural disasters, economic issues, and political unrest. With your help and working with many other local charities, we were able to dedicate about $1 Million to assist low-income families recover from Hurricanes Zeta and Ida. Now we are preparing for the 2022 hurricane season, which is again expected to be an above average season.

Through your consistent and creative philanthropy, GCCF has distributed nearly $ 7 Million to students, teachers, and disaster survivors on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 2021 and the first half of 2022. We appreciate you!

I invite you to continue reading about the lives who have been impacted through your charitable contributions to GCCF, and to learn more about how you can continue to be of support. If I can help you explore tax smart giving options that improve the quality of life in our Coastal community, please don’t hesitate to reach out, or have your financial advisor give us a call.

With kindest regards,

Rodger
